Pescosansonesco, is an ancient historical Roman and Norman military garrison at the foot of the Gran Sasso massif, at 500 m above sea level. It is one of the most interesting wine regions because of its peculiar climatic conditions, featuring wide thermal ranges, both during the day tnd during the year, clayey and calcareous soil and a rocky but crumbly subsoil.
