Pescosansonesco, an agricultural and pastoral center in a high hill and inner mountainous area, has claycalcareous soils rich in organic matter.
The strong temperature variations, partially mitigated by the sea breeze, give the local wines a pronounced acidity, powerful structure, and great aging potential.
Capestrano (450mt a.s.l.)
Located upstream of the Valle del Tirino, famous for its uncontaminated river, this area is characterized by high temperature variations that preserve acidity and enhance aroma synthesis.
The soil, with a pebbly-sandy matrix, is ideal for imparting minerality and savoriness to the wines. In this area Mimmo has focused on the production of indigenous white varieties such as Passerina, Pecorino, and Trebbiano.
Forca Di Penne (1050mt a.s.l.)
The latest project of the family involves the acquisition of 150 hectares in Forca di Penne, a place rich in history and tradition, with its Medicean tower, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and crossed by the Tratturo Magno. The unique characteristics and potential of this place make it perfect for the production of Classic Method Sparkling Wines.
