The Pasetti family has a long winemaking tradition dating back to the Bourbon period. After the devastation of phylloxera, the family restarted their business as grape producers and merchants, and then transformed them into wine in the 1950s, becoming a regional reference point. In the 1960s, grandfather Franco had the bold idea of opening the first zero kilometer sales point. In the following years, there was a growing need for new, more distinctive and recognizable products. An innovative project was necessary.
Production was therefore relocated to mountainous areas within the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park, where vineyards with great peculiarity are cultivated, resulting in the wines awarded the Pasetti and Testarossa brands.
Today, Mimmo manages the company with his three children, who have divided the work: Francesca Rachele manages the administrative part, Massimo handles exports and international visibility, and Davide, who is a winemaker and oversees wine production.
Our passion is passed down from generation to generation.
I walk my land. On these cultivated patches on the mountain, thoughts get lost among memories of youth, I see myself again, eager to follow in my father’s footsteps. The wind blows strongly, the cold penetrates my bones. I admire the beauty of this landscape, of this nature that has absorbed my essence. I lift my gaze among the rows that fade into the horizon. My vineyards grown with love and sacrifice. I thank my team, my family for sharing this bold venture; we have brought our roots to these harsh and difficult places, the fruits are sweet and generous. I believe in the future, I live in respect of this nature since its destiny is inseparably linked to that of my children.
Wine… “not an exact science but an experience of life”.
